Yeah I get that :-) 
but is it more RPI based, or does being ranked give it a huge boost or is it solely the ammount of home wins or something else?

Are there different levels of A+ homecourt advantage like there are with prestige?  My Montana State team has an A+ homecourt advantage, which is just absurd.

If my 97 RPI Montana State team has the same home court advantage as #1 Kansas, the system needs changed.  Period.

Q: Can you explain how Home Court Advantage is calculated?
A: Homecourt advantage changes based on numerous factors - opponent quality, whether you won or lost, margin of victory (or loss) and location of the game. On top of that, real life historical fan attendance numbers over the past 30 years were used to come up with a fan loyalty factor which also plays a role in how "fairweather" a schools fans are.

cleveland st has a B- HCA and I have a C+ yet they have worse everything than me but a better HCA,  i guess Im just cionfused?

There is nothing better to do at Cleveland state other than go to random basketball games. Your hokie fans actually expect you to be decent. *real life answers for a video game*

I wonder if thats calculated in, the idea that "fans only attend if your competitive." At which case that would be a reason your HCA is lower the cleveland ST. I would argue however it would be interesting if Cleveland St dropped in HCA because Lebron James is now back on the Cavs, now whats the point of going to Cleveland St this season when you can go see lebron. Random and I can gurantee has no factor but interesting point...

HCA advantage is calculated over multiple seasons (kind of like prestige).  An 8-game snapshot won't really tell you anything useful.

thats why I used them,  over the previous 3 yrs they are 17-21 and Im 29-20.   thats with out factoring in the 8-0 this yr for me compared to 3-2,

HCA for sims does not work the same way as HCA for humans. i doubt you can find an example like that, that also has a human coach...

HCA mostly comes down to winning, it only matters a little how good the other team is

ETA: Whatever you try to do to jack up your home court rating, schedule-wise or otherwise, isn't going to be worth the effort.  Do what is in the best interests of your team and HCA will take care of itself.

i was able to find three more interesting allhuman coached teams that were better than me with worse records, no post seasons and similar RPIs.  so now Im to the conclusion its not as easy as wins/loses, RPIs or prestige.
