Anyone know which team owns the record for most players to appear in at least one game for them during a single season?  I've been looking on Google for the answer, with no luck...

Didn't the 2014 Yankees set the record or at least come close? They apparently used 58 according to baseball reference.

The most I've seen is the 2002 Cleveland Indians with 59 players, but I've never read anywhere whether that's the record or not.

EDIT: It could be the record.  b-r.com has a page that says the 2002 Indians and 2002 Padres share the record with 59 players.  The page was last edited in August 2011 so when I get some time I'll go through rosters from 2011-14 to see if that's been topped.

I watched the Rangers this years fervently (I know...glutton for punishment) and I know that we set the record this year as 64 players appeared in at least 1 game: http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/TEX/2014.shtml

Now not all of them are WIS eligible...so if you are looking for that I'm not sure how to find that info.

I'm thinking of a theme league, a team twist, where every owner twists the same team, and I wanted as many options as possible...

WIS database turns up 25 batters, 22 pitchers (and I didn't check for duplicate players) for 2014 Rangers. Hardly seems enough for a draft pool ....

I think you'd be better off with an older team with fewer.  Many of the Rangers I bet have 2014 s their only year or maybe only one of two plus you don't have the seasons after they played together as it was only last year.
