Do you get the entire multi-city history of a franchise (does Braves = Boston, Milwaukee, and Atlanta)? Or just a single city iteration of a given franchise?
Thanks for your question, tycho88, because it prompts me to include a rule not yet stated.
Franchises that moved their team, like Expos to Nationals, is fine to be considered one franchise, so you could take a combination of Expo seasons and Nationals seasons, as well as the "star" from either.
The problem that always occurs with franchise leagues is the huge disparity between longer vs. shorter number of seasons available per franchise. In addition, deadballers are so like cheating because their salary structure is so exploitable.
SO...
there are several ways to limit these effects and keep the variety of choice for seasons within a franchise diverse, yet not make it unreasonably unfair to use a franchise that has fewer seasons to choose from.
NEW RULE: ALL SEASONS MUST BE 1985 - 2014. This allows 30 seasons to choose from for most franchises, and doesn't cripple badly the new franchises that came in during the 90's. Hopefully, this creates a level playing field for most franchises.
...sorry for not thinking of that earlier...I'll edit the front advertisement to add this rule.
Thanks again!
