2015 Spring Training Twist (need 5) Topic

I'm not getting close to 100M with either Padres or White Sox.  Any chance we want to consider 90 or 95M ??

Yeah I'd be flexible on the salary cap.  I'm going to put together a couple teams I'm thinking about using and see where those salaries come in.  I think using the DH is appropriate for this league don't you?

been waiting for a league like this.

in..StL for now but that night change

def need lower cap than 100 to make sure everyone can compete

Maybe even a few manual AAA spots to draft depth. There will definitely be some teams with PA or IP shortages

Maybe 2 hitter slots and 2 pitcher slots to draft a few fringe guys from our rosters.

Really cool theme - try out the teams before they play the season! We'll take the Toronto Blue Jays.

Toronto can be great.  Santana, Buehrle, Dickey....makings of good staff there

Got you down for the Blue Jays hoopsrus.  They could end their playoff drought this year.  Looking good!

I can put together a decent Phillies team except for the GAPING hole at ss.
When (believe it or not) Ronny Cedeno signed w/ the Giants it killed my Phillies build...
Crap...
If you could manually draft an average AAA shortstop would you want the Phillies?
3/4/2015 9:43 PM
I'll take the Royal's as a second team also
3/5/2015 9:04 PM
Good choice!

I'll take Detroit as a 2nd team unless someone else wants them

put me down for the nationals

I'm going to take the Mariners and get the league setup tonight!

Decision on manual AAA?

Example. StL has a lot of 30-40 ip young guys. As a group they can help. But no room for all on 25. With 1-2 of them I come up very light on total ip. These are low salary guys

Also wonder how many can get near $90m. StL is consistent power and I am not really coming close. The few teams near $90 might dominate

Wonder if part of that 90 can be aaa

I think AAA would be appropriate for this theme considering most of those guys are in camp with the big club anyways.  The spirit of the theme would be to use the major league seasons, but as cpdpoet pointed out, the Phillies don't even have a SS making the Jimmy Rollins trade look even worse!
