J5B teams don’t stay available for long. Last season we filled 5 spots in 18 hours. How is that possible ??? !!
Simple. J5B has very few restrictions in the World Rules
1) Minimum Wins Requirement: 50 wins each season. If a team fails to reach the 50 win minimum, that team's owner will be disqualified from participating in the following season of J5B
2) Sign & Trades: If a Type A free agent is signed during the FA signing period of a particular season, said free agent is not allowed to be traded until after the All-Star break of that season.
3) Competitive Minor Leagues: This rule primarily refers to adequate player rest and does not include a poor minor league record. All minor league levels are expected to be given the proper attention needed, in order to keep minor league players healthy. Such as, setting reasonable pitch counts for pitchers, and making sure starting pitchers are adequately rested in between starts.
J5B may be the most competitive World in HD. We have had six different World Series winners in the past six seasons. Last season’s winner Rattlers took the title in his first season in J5B. The spread between the top and bottom record in the NL was only 28 games.
Stability. 6 original owners are still with J5B after 25 seasons. Since season 20 there 15 owners have been with us for the past 10 seasons or more. And 23 owners have been there for 5 or more seasons.
ZERO drama. If you are like all of us, we have been in leagues where one or two bad apples ruin the league with forum drama. There is none in J5B. It’s not tolerated by any of the owners. Issues are rare but when they occur they are discussed quickly and in a civil manner. I will have detailed write-ups on each of the teams later today or Monday. They will come in as individual posts below. For now take the time to look at the teams Diesel listed.
