Hey Slash...you're not a guitarist fighting with Axl Rose are you? Welcome to the NHL. You should give this a try. As the commish, when you enter your team I will see it and can give you advice or make comments. The 140K cap is pretty high for a Chicago, NYRangers team. Important to look at are % percentage, defensive ratings, goalies save % and percentage of games played. I've been doing hockey for quite some time and am not one of the winningest guys around but I could help.

Okay.  I used reward points to get a free season.  I'll give this a shot.  I read some of the beginner stuff in the forum, but I imagine with the cap being where it is, some of those rules go out the window...

 I'll help you too. Just like I did with Foucherp when he started a few months ago. Now he beats me like a drum. I've won next to nothing, but have been at this for like over ten years (yikes) Don't overspend in goal. 90.5 to 91% will usually get it done in a league like this.  Take one who played most of his games at about 4m and another half season guy at 2m and 90%. Most sim goalies are turned into sieves anyhow.

How about the other teams during this period like the Senators, etc? Original 6 teams refers to teams after 1942.

I didnt think it was as late as 1942 but what I mean is as of 1926, all original 6 teams existed...except for a Detroit name change. So this is not just original 6 but original 6 represented. On my Rangers team I have Lynn Patrick, Camille Henry, Ott Heller along with Rod Gilbert, Brian Leetch and Henrik Lundquist

What about goalies buddy? If I take Plante from the 50's for the Habs, must I draft another goalie from the 50's to ensure someone from that decade will be on the ice?
