Duron Harmon has now found himself in trouble with the law, and possibly soon the NFL.

According to the Costa Rican newspaper La Nación the New England Patriots safety was arrested on Friday afternoon at the Juan Santamaría airport.

Harmon was trying to enter the country reportedly with 58 grams of marijuana stuffed inside a can of ice tea, three pipes with cannabis oil, a THC candy and four glass containers of compressed marijuana that weighed 4.3 grams.

The Costa Rica Star notes that Harmon was "temporarily detained and then sent back to the United States." Harmon was flying to Costa Rica from Ft. Lauderdale.

“This involved a professional NFL player, who tried to come into the country carrying marijuana," Irving Malespín, director of the Fiscal Control Police said. "He has sent back to US territory. It is important to highlight the work of different police bodies, who carry out important operations in different areas of the country. We want to prevent undesirable people from entering the country.”

The Patriots also came out with a brief statement on Saturday morning regarding this issue with Harmon (via Ben Volin of The Boston Globe):

“We are aware of the situation involving Duron Harmon Friday night in Costa Rica. He has since returned to the U.S. and we are seeking to gain more information. At this time, we have no further update.”
