After years of rebuilding, this team had broken through with a 96 win division title 2 years. They took a step backward this year but mainly because the owner was on an extended vacation and left his team unattended for a long time. They majority of that playoff team is still intact.
At the major league level, there is some impressive talent. The top 4 players all 28 years or younger:
- Ned Kingland www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx The Ace of the bullpen, All-star and only 28 years old.
- Juan Quixote www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx Young 23 year older who can play multiple position, .900 OPS
- Lorenzo Rosado www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx Another young 28 year old pitcher
- Douglas Fairbush www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx Good defensive CF with decent bat, 28 years old
And there is some major talent coming in the minors:
- Jose Mercedes www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx One of the top IFAs, a 77 OVR starting pitcher with only 1 year of development. Likely will approach 85-90 when at his prime.
- Giovanni Stairs www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx A really strong CF sitting in HighA, ML ready but with another 2 years of development
This is a good team looking for a good new owner
