Meh. 2006. Team average of 3276 yds, 20.3 TD. Brady was just barely above average. Nothing special at all.
I guess this means you think 2/3 to 3/4 of QBs in the league are just barely above or below average? He finished 7th and 4th in the 2 categories you gave. He's also led the league in yardage and TDs in a season pre 2007.
Throwing for 300 yards and 3 TDs more than the average isn't anything special. It's barely above average. And he's not playing for the Cleveland Browns and winning 4 games a year. He takes all the snaps for NE. There are maybe 10-15 QB that take all the snaps. As a whole, he was slightly above average before 2007.
2006 7th in yards, 4th in TDs and 9th in rating.
2005 he lead the NFL in yards, was 3rd in TD's and 6th in rating.
2004 10th in yards, 6th TDs and 9th rating
2003 6th in yards, 10th TD's and 10th rating
2002 6th in yards, 1st in TDs and 9th in rating (his 1st season as the starter).
Yeah....that's just slightly above average.
