If I have to feed your kids, I should be nailing your wife.    Right after we provide both of you some forced sterilization.

So then you are going to change the standards so that fewer kids can receive a meal?

yes
That is exactly why your organization isn't going to last long. You and those kinder more gentler republicans don't stand a snowballs chance of hell of succeeding in the next election.

Yep.   People are always going to favor the party that offer them free ****.    RIght now, there are more people looking for a free meal than a tax break.

For the record, I do not have any children or grandchildren of school age to receive these meals.I don't believe this country has sunk low enough yet so that we would let American children go without a meal so that the rich get an upgrade in yachts.

1 This has nothing to do with yachts, private jets, mansions or any other code word for rich.

2 We are not talking about starving poor kids. We have expanded Food assistance in almost every state. We still have this program that does very little good, but as I predicted when we talk about stopping it the left with scream "Starving Children"!

Where are children whose parents cannot afford to feed their children in school going to get the money for their lunch or do they go without.
9/6/2011 4:31 AM
Depends on what you mean by "cannot afford".    Seems like feeding your children should be really ******* high on one's priority list.   Like, oh I don't know, maybe FIRST.    So unless the parents are homeless with zero income, I bet "afford" is a matter of choice.

Families on food stamps eat better than mine, as I can't help but notice when grocery shopping....

BTW, still wondering if anyone other than may 2 or 3 people here have an opinion on how much a "fair share" is.  We're 34 pages in now, and there have been very few responses actually addressing the topic (as I suspected when I started the thread).

AT LEAST 50%
9/6/2011 7:03 AM
50% of the total burden?

50% of their total income?

50% marginal rate?

It would help to know what you're referring to...
9/6/2011 7:12 AM

BETWEEN 250-5OOK ANNUAL INCOME------30% TI

BETWEEN 501K-999K-----40%

BETWEEN 1MILL-3MILL---50%

3MILL+UP------55%

NO WRITEOFFS,NO SHELTERS, NO OFFSHORE HAVENS

Top 5% of earners should pay for everyone else's meals, mortgage, and healthcare. Sounds fair to me since I'm in the bottom 95%.
