So you're saying Glavine isn't even close? He'll get in first ballot with Maddux.

Glavine, Maddux and Biggio will be in this year - Thomas should be, but who knows, with these voters.
He very likely will get in, but that doesn't mean he deserves it.
Why doesn't Glavine deserve it?

Apparently mediocre pitchers just luck into 300 wins everyday.

As an aside . . . Maddux and Glavine were teammates in Atlanta for 10 seasons, 1993-2002.  During those 10 seasons, they combined for 660 starts and 347 wins.

That's pretty impressive.  It would be very fitting if they went into the HOF together.

Glavine shouldn't make it.  He paid off umpires to allow his pitches a foot off the plate be called a strike.

I have no evidence, but apparently accusations without merit are acceptable practices.
This. x100
Sure.  I guess we can all pretend that nothing happened.

Just like in the McGwire / Sosa race towards Maris's HR record in '98.
No one is pretending nothing happened. I'm saying that we don't know who did and who didn't use (outside of guys with failed tests, admissions, or other actual evidence). It's not right to punish some guys just because they fit a profile. As we've seen since the testing started, many users have been small non-power hitters and pitchers. No one, even guys like Maddux and Glavine, is above suspicion.

After taking a closer look at Glavine's career this morning I will say that my opinion has changed and that he merits the HOF. Hell, he blows Blyleven to the WEEDS. I really never realized just how good his numbers are and he was a guy that I mistook as a bit more of a workmanlike-type than he actually was judging by his numbers. I think he was just a guy that, for me, got overlooked because he was always with guys like Maddux, Smoltz, etc. that gave him a lower profile.

One other opinion that I'd like to state...

If Pete Rose isn't in the HOF, there's no way that I'd EVER vote in guys like Clemens, McGwire, etc. who are tainted by the roid accusations. Ty Cobb was a racist ******** of a human bieng. Babe Ruth was a drunk. Not putting Rose in is a joke when you look at the reality of those before him. He deserves to be in and THEN we can talk about those who followed him.

The key word.......CONSISTENCY.......

Thank God this is America, where we can all have our own opinions.

You always fall back on that, don't you?

Of course it's your opinion. Like my opinion that Lofton is a borderline hall of fame candidate. That doesn't mean that the opinions can't be debated.

I would vote for:

Frank Thomas
Roger Clemens
Barry Bonds
Craig Biggio
Greg Maddux
Tim Raines
Mark McGwire

Sosa, Edgar Martinez, and Bagwell are all very close, but I don't think I vote for any of them.  If somebody gave me a vote.
Mike Piazza isn't close or even worthy? Please tell me this was a blatant oversight!

Right.

Except that your opinions are typically blatantly retarded.  Like the one about Lofton.
11/28/2013 1:21 PM
And I think it's blatantly retarded to say you know Bagwell did steroids while Biggio and Thomas didn't.
11/28/2013 1:23 PM
See? Opinions.

Good thing this is America...

REALLY??? Do your eyes just not work. Bagwell is as obvious as Bonds when it comes to the changes in his body.
11/28/2013 1:26 PM
My body changed between the ages of 20 and 30. I'm sure it will be different at 40. Mickey Mantle's body changed over the years. As did most professional athletes.
