WW Fix League II 13 in Topic

Select any sub .500 team, 1950-2011. You will play that team straight, no twisting, but you may add a free agent. This free agent may be any player who played for your franchise, 1950-2011, but he can not be a clone. Once the season starts, as the first place team in your division reaches 10 win or 10 loss plateaus, you may select a free agent from the WW. There is no seasonal or financial restriction on these WW PUs, but only one selection each time the 1st place team in your division reaches a number of wins or losses evenly divisible by 10, with no remainder.

League number 100150. Please name your team in a way that makes it easily identifiable, so as to prevent duplicate franchises. I am in with the '63 Red Sox.

Commish, from the league summary with your site mail, it looks like there will be AAA this time around.  If I'm reading that right, what quality level will the AAA guys be?

As ht44601 says, hope you're doing well in your recovery.

I see the AAA player, quality level "Average", however the # of players or pitchers is set at ZERO?  I liked having Average AAA players, it cut down on the Stamina issue we experienced in the previous league?

I also see that we are picking up a LOT fewer FA players this time, IF I read the rules right this time...

When the leading team in YOUR division wins a multiple of 10 games, for each multiple, you can pick up 1 player!  Example, if the leading team in your division wins 100 games, a MAXIMUM of 10 FA will be allowed for each team in THAT division?  Simple, right?  11 for 110 wins, 9 for 90 wins, 8 for 80 wins, etc.

I thought it was simply explained LAST time & things got F*CKED from the start & then just got worse - one division got to pick up 34 players - there are only 25 players on a team, replacing them ALL - is ridiculous & renders the theme ineffective?  This league if MORE FUN when you can only pick up 10-12 players, rather than replacing the WHOLE stinking team!

I will take the 1973 Atlanta Braves

No AAA players, lower salary cap this time, and DH in both leagues. 105m cap, plus $5m after game 50. and, a selection from the WW when the 1st place team in your division hits a number of wins or losses evenly divisible by 10, with no remainder. Plus, you may select a free agent of any salary, as long as he played for your franchise, 1950-2011. If your roster has 25 players, you may drop anyone to make room for your FA. If your roster has less than 25 players, you may draft any $200k player(s) you want to enter your team.
