Can't blame the GM for a team in 6th place to fall down to 14th in less than 30 games. There had to b a disruption in the dressing room. It will be interesting who stays and who goes this summer including goalies........ Reimer I hope stays as the Monster is a UFA.

What??????
Disruption in the dressing room of a team that Dion Phaneuf is the Captain of?????
Impossible!!!!!!!

Leaf fans............Can you say LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU..................???

Get ready to start saying Luuuuuuuuuuuuuu......

Is this serious?
But then, a goalie that steals games left and right during the regular season is, and gets their team into
the playoffs is a big step up from what us leaf fans have right now.

Maybe 'Berto is just what the ACC needs right now.

I get the sense that he is wearing out his welcome in British Columbia.

But his contract is so gosh darn restrictive that I wouldn't give Van a 1st for him...
I would package up a bunch of equally overpaid Leafs to send the other way, if I was to
include a 1st in the deal.

Sometimes, to make improvements, you need to be able to handle the laughter of the masses
(as we did when we acquired Dion Phaneuf).

I say, bring on Luongo!  Lets make the 1st round of the playoffs again!

Go Leafs Go!
For the record......I was a Leaf's fan before I was a Canuck's fan.  I would love the Leafs to be competitive again.

Lu will get moved, Tampa Bay and Toronto are two team's that would take Lu off our hand's.  I think Lu would waive no movement clause to go to Toronto or Tampa Bay.

Hopefully leafs can improve a-lot more in offseason.  They should really look at goaltending and the goal scoring was not the problem.

Leafs and Canucks are in 2 different places....for the Canucks, losing the final in 7 games was a big disappointment.  For the Leafs, getting swept in the 2nd round would be a triumph of the highest degree....

Roberto might just be a better fit in TO than in VAN at the present time.

Would a Lecavlier for Luongo straight up 1-for-1 make sense?

Coupla' thingy's... Kinda' sorta' about the expectations... Like, if a 'Leaf" fan expects to
OUT DO the Las Vegas 'bookies, as far as the odds they post daily... Yeah, it's based
on the monies bet on certain teams to win next season's Cup... However, ---suppose
that bettors were making smart bets, that itsa' pretty reliably good gauge of where the
Leafs sit, ---on the proverbial 'totem' pole, ---as far as WHAT to expect, ---ya' know (?)

&, in the 2nd part of a "Coupla' thingy's..." ---Let's presume that the spoken analysis
of Barry Melrose, way back in the 1st month of the season, ---if there was any 'Leaf'
fan, within ear-shot, then it would only follow logic that the 'Leaf' fan believed that the
best hockey player on the planet "IS" Phil Kessel, hence the expectation, validated by
Mr. Melrose, ---of course...

Never-the-less, Phil Kessel had his best season of his young career, as a 'Leaf' this
past season... His presence on that team, literally brought a renewed interest in the
season he might have had, & will no doubt surpass in future seasons...

Nice forum thread that you got going here, halen-double-six... It's so needed...

That former Anaheim GM/Coach duet, ---well, THAT matter ain't addressed enough
in here, & itsa' prob, for sure... Penner ?... Then they give Chris Kunitz to the Pens...
Stuff is pretty unpredictable with those 2 steering Toronto's hockey fortunes... Then,
decent expectations can be met... Try surfin' with your remote, the next time Melrose
appears on screen... Burke/Carlyle can spot talent, & build a winner thru drafting...

Luongo to the Leafs almost makes sense for both teams.  I think Vancouver would be happy for Luongo to move as we have 2 top notch goalies still in the system.

And the Leafs desperately need goaltending.   From here it looked like poor goal tending was the Leafs biggest reason for collapse at the end of the season.

Perhaps, but Vancouver would need to trade either Sedin or Kesler to open up ice time for Lecavalier.  I don't think Gillis would trade either.

I would make a Luongo for Lecavalier and then Kesler for Nash type of trade.

I think Vancouver still needs to add to their defense, so how about Luongo for Phaneuf straight up?
