The Talkin' Baseball progressive league is soon heading into its 73rd season! The league started with the 1950 season, and we are looking for
two new owners to join us starting in the 2022 season. The season should get underway around the last week of May.
We are looking for an owner who is looking to stay with us until we catch up to the current MLB season (which is through the 2024 season). This would be for three seasons, and then we will end this league after 75 successful seasons. If you ever wondered what it would be like to play in a modern era progressive with today's players, please join us to share in this experience. We are currently in discussions to start a new league but do not plan to advertise openings if possible. Joining this league for its last three seasons will guarantee you an invitation to join the new league (as of now it appears we may start with 1961 and 16 teams, but this is subject to change).
The open teams at the moment is in Milwaukee (AL Central). You
must remain in your home park for at least 2022 but you can opt to change to another AL park starting in 2023 if you'd like and if you let me know prior to the start of the 2023 season. Current AL parks open for 2023 are Anaheim - Angel Stadium, Minnesota - Target Field, New York - Yankee Stadium III, and Toronto - Rogers Centre. If you choose to move, you may or may not end up staying in the same division. Current owners will be given the option to move to another division to better geographically align the divisions if you choose to move, but we do not force any owner to switch divisions if they choose not to do so.
The roster for the available team is on page 3 in this thread. Milwaukee won their division in 2021. The foundation is here and you aren't taking over any dumpster fire. We go on the clock on the week of Monday, May 13th to complete the 2022 regular draft. The AAA draft will begin on the week of Monday, May 20th, which will allow you to pick up an additional 8 players that have not yet been drafted.
