has a heartland team ever topprd the list?

if no heartlander has ever been #1, are the westmen the first to make it to #2?

what was the most heartlanders in the top10, top25 at one time?

just curious, i think even the other top conferences would have to acquiese to the heartlanders claim to topconference, and so im just curious as to the milestones they may have set.

al for doing this for all these years,

You're welcome, Dave.

Currently Heartland has 4 teams in the top 17, with Westminster, Franklin, Transylvania, and Manchester. This is probably the best that any confernence has ever done.

We've never had a #1 team. I believe that Westminster, currently #2, is the best.

Of those 4 teams, this is the highest rating ever for Westminster, Franklin, and Manchester. Transylvania has been as high as #4.

Of our other teams, Hanover has been as high as #9; Mt. St. Joseph #19 and Bluffton #32. That makes 7 of the Heartland teams who've been previously ranked. I doubt that any other conference has more than 4.

Sorry, barret, when I was bragging about the conference ratings, I was only considering the major DIII conferences. I should've included all conferences.

Will I be in the top 25 with 1 more deep run next season? I got final four/2 sweet 16s/no bid.

Al, in your world there is only one major DIII conference.

You're a quick study, barret! A gold star for you

Seriously, the ODAC may not be as strong, top-to-bottom, but their top teams are among the toughest in the nation

Probably. There are currently three teams in the Top 25 that have 'stayed home' in one of the past 5 years..... #14 Marywood, #20 Allegheny, and #25 Alvernia.

how big of a lead do i have blackie? and i dont mean exactly points-wise... but is it a significant lead or am i leading by the skin of my teeth?

i think well be doing good just to sneak into the nt this year.

Currently, you have a big lead. But I'm altering the formula this year. You'll definitely 'feel the hurt' in the Poise and Personality category. kelby may well catch up.

im not gonna deny that the inclusion of poise and personality might put me at a bit of a disadvantage against most folks, but..... kleby? I think i can hold my own.

Way to go, blackdog!

I'm pretty excited about making the list, too. Hopefully, we can build on our run of sweet sixteens and actually make some noise this year.
