alright. so i've played this game for probably five years now and i have always thought of playing +1 or +2 3pt settings as taboo. I mean why "force" a 3 pointer, if you can have it set at 0 and basically take 3's in the flow of the offense.
So i have a DII team under a different ID that is loaded at perimeter (even the LP guys). Plus they're speedy and athletic. Just an example, i've got a PF with ATH 73, SPD 81, RB 93, LP 86, and PER 76.
So i decide to set everyone at +1 for 3 pointers. Except for my one LP guy that is under 30 for PER rating. I figure i'll still make the NT. but when it does come around i'll pound it inside against a bunch of plus defenses. I am taking around 25 3's per game right now.
The problem is my team is kicking ***. they are 12-3 with the #1 RPI against the #3 SOS.
so my question is, what are your opinions on the 3 point settings? I have NEVER used it other than at the zero setting. and on LP guys its always on -2. Sometimes -1 if the guy has a 25 in PER.
I am pondering using this strategy through the NT, but what scares me is that one bad shooting night from beyond the arc and my NT is over. So i cant have a bad night, for six strait nights against the best competition in DII.
any thoughts would be appreciated. thanks.
