In football, if the team fails, they attempt to kick it through the goal posts. In soccer, that is the ultimate goal. Fun. Also I hope football institutes a skills competition to determine the outcome of tie games. That would be cool.

really both versions are better than soccer's "skills competition".
It would be similar to a ft shooting contest, or slam dunk contest for basketball. Or a homerun hitting contest for baseball.
