OMFG.  This can't be happening.
It happened.

Congrats, enjoy it.  Nothing easy about how they got there, all they did was deserve it.

93 year old Milt Schmidt hauling the Cup up and over his head.

Now THAT was something.

If the Hawks last year rated a 10 on my Enjoyment Scale, I'd say tonight's game approached 8.8.

I thought I saw Johnny Bucyk hoist it too.

Chief's still a big dude. I'd believe it.

This is real, right? It's not a dream?

I've been a Bruins fan since I knew what hockey was. I went to my first game in 1978. I lived with Too Many Men on the Ice. I saw the Forum jinx end. I saw Glen Wesley miss an open net. I saw this team hit rock bottom. I went to the half-empty FleetCenter when 95% of the population in Boston didn't care about hockey. And now I've seen them hoist the Cup. This is why I've stayed a fan. This is why I never stopped believing. For this one night. The Bruins join the Pats, Sox, and Celts. 7 titles since 2002. It's a great time to be a sports fan in Boston.

it's a great feeling SAK.  probably even more so for you having had to wait so long.  i was lucky when i saw calgary hoist the cup only seven years after i started watching hockey.  not so lucky since, but you never forget it.  if you have to wait another 33 years until the next one (hopefully not) you'll remember this one for the rest of your life.  :>

I can say the same as SAK until I actually walked away from the Bruins for awhile in the after the 2000 season when they traded Bourque away.  I was forced back to the team by my then future 9 year old step-son love of hockey and the Bruins 6 years ago.   I had to relearn the game and players again so I could follow the conversations with him.  Now he is in HS hockey and I got buried again with defensive strategy.  He was patient as usual and got his "Dad" to learn about it.  It has made watching hockey that much more rewarding.  It was fantastic watching the finals with him.

My allergies acted up when Bergeron, Thomas, and Thornton got to hold the cup.

Anyway, without the 4th line (Campbell, Thornton, and even Paille) playing the way they did, I think Vancouver would have done more damage.

You can say what you want about Thornton, but he never takes a shift off.  He skates full bore every chance he gets.  That is why he is on the team.

Good for you, SAK.  You have a good team there.

Maybe someday the Leafs will win something for me?

Congratulations Boston.  I remember crying my eyes out as a 7 year old when Ken Dryden and those awful Montreal Canadiens upset Boston in 1971, but in 1970 and 1972 I stayed glued to the TV as long as my parents allowed me to stay up, just so I could watch my hero Bobby Orr raise the Cup above his head.  Hope Bobby was in Vancouver tonight to enjoy this.

Not at all. I wish all Vancouver fans behaved like this.
