Former Packers Grady Jackson (NT) and Samkon Gado (RB) were released by the Falcons and Texans, respectively, this week.
While the Packers have a surplus of D-linemen and a capable replacement for Jackson in Ryan Pickett, I wonder if the team's problems at running back might lead to some contact with Gado. Vernand Morency, the back acquired for Gado last season, is constantly nicked up and the other backs are having a hard time staying healthy as well. While the club didn't view Gado as a good fit for the zone running scheme, he should at least retain some familiarity with the playbook.
