I just don't honestly see what the purpose would be ... What would the addition of this bring that isn't already being accomplished here on the boards? All I see is adding a layer of bureaucracy to something that is already working fine as it is ... IMO when it comes to governance less is more

I think it would have a quicker resolve for issues such as rule changes. Instead of an issue (any issue) being hashed out with countless posts, the commity should be able to address them quicker and releave some of the stress of the commissioner.

I prefer a strong central authority figure to wave around a little red book and crush the will of the masses.  YES WE CAN!

Anyway, don't we basically already have this?

League scoring:

Long time since the sim engine switch season 16 to end the dead-puck-era, so it's nice to see scoring is still +/- 6.50 per game.

Now that I'm out of the playoffs, I'm gonna be doing a lot more work on my little behind the scenes project.  Very tedious stuff but will be a neat archive when I am done.  With the MLD being 30 season's old now, there is a whole bunch of data and stats that a numbers junkie like myself enjoys digging into......yes, I'm weird and nerdy, I know that already, I thought you already knew that too.  :)

At first, I was gonna attempt to find the career all time leading MLD scorers but that task was/is a little overwelming......I still plan to tackle that job but not just yet.

Instead, I'm compiling a "by-franchise" look at some of the top regular season performers and performances.  Was gonna keep it a secret but I'm too excited over finally compiling and completing the CCC research.....next up is the POW, THEN I will finally have a complete listing.

In the meantime, consider this a teaser.  My "power listing" will be a listing that includes....
~ Every franchise's top single player performance for goals, assists and points total for a single season.  (including season# feat was accomplished.  We'll likely see alot of season 1 totals topping these listings.....but at least they'll be easier to spot.)  Top seasonal PIM totals will also be listed but only if a franchise had a player earn 100+ in any given season.

~ In addition to the top performances listed above, every MLD cyber athlete who cracks 50 goals or 100 points in a single season will be listed.  Meaning, if (example) Joe Smith scored 102 pts in season 20...but that wasn't the top total for the franchise, he will still be listed. (Because he scored 100+ points)

~ Any MLD cyber athlete who scored 40 goals and 40 assists in any given season will also be listed.........these are members of the 40/40 club.  If a player happened to accomplish this feat in more than 1 season, they'll be listed multiple times.

The above conditions are what I decided to use in compiling the listing I am working on......I had to draw the line somewhere or else it would be too hard to input all the info.  However, midway through my data collecting, I realized that there is a minor flaw to my criteria for players making the list.
If a player, say Jon Dough, happened to score 39 goals and record 60 assists........for a total of 99 points, if that 99 point total is not tops for the history of the franchise, he will NOT appear on my listing....... while notching 99 points in a season is impressive, he didn't score 50+ goals, he didn't score 100+ points and he did not make it to the 40/40 club, therefore he is not going to be on "the listing".  Kinda sucks but like I said, I had to draw the line somewhere.

Stay tuned

I also realize that some may feel including season 1 records might be a bit flawed because their totals were a bit inflated.......  but in the end, I decided to include them because afterall they are a part of our league's history.........and besides, its not so bad.  I include the season# each feat was accomplished in,  so it becomes very easy to spot the higest non-season 1 totals.....

Example......so far, after compiling the CCC data ONLY, I now know that Kingston's Yannick Goulet  81 goals in season 1 is the highest goals scored in a single season performance.........HOWEVER, the highest  single season goal total by a player that was not in season 1......that record belongs to Henderson's Michael Tassi and his 53 gaol total from season 26.

The closer I get to finishing this project, the more I am regreting not logging th guys who got 90+ pts in a season.

Kind of a stats freak here also, so I’m looking forward to your player listings okp. For sure a time consuming task compiling all the player stats, so much appreciated.

50 + goals, 100+ points and the 40/40 club sound excellent. Would have liked to see 50+ assist also, but still what you are working on for season 1-30 will be great.

Well after looking a little closer into how hard it is for players to hit 50+ goals per season - if assist records should also apply, I think that limit should be 75+ rather than just 50.

I have a few top D-men hitting 75+ assists, but not making 100 points. One is my retiring vet Yoshiko Itch with 77 assists this season. He had "only" 17 goals for a total 94 points.

Thats why I'm regreting not including guys like that.....94 pts is an impressive season.  I may go back and fix it  lol
