Just got the new Arcade Fire, will listen for a while and then formulate an opinion. I have been listening to Funeral about every day for the past 5 or 6 months now and I have to say it's one of the best albums I have ever heard. I also saw Arcade Fire on The Daily Show the other day, Win Butler might be 7 feet tall...

A music critic friend of mine just got me a copy of the new Walkmen...if it's anything like that single that leaked, it could be really awesome.

It's fantastic.  Just short of Big Boi and Titus for my best of year list.

Which is nice, given the subpar efforts by the other heavies-- The National, Band of Horses, and Wolf Parade.

Next up:  Panda Bear.

Hansard's got serious game...it's a damn shame he wastes it on so many ****** songs.  He's one of a handful of current singers that could do that song justice.  Will Oldham?  Spencer Krug?  My list would get pretty thin after that.  Oberst would think he could do it and then it would be god awful.

You were right about Bitte Orca, Robusk...I went back and gave it another shot.  It's pretty awesome.

It took me a couple listens as well...  but it is a good album.  I have slacked the last month or two and not listened to much new stuff.  I got a promotion at work and have been swamped.  I need to step my game up.  What is coming out soon?

I did find an album from last year by Kurt Vile called God is Saying This to You a couple of weeks ago I really like.  Have you guys heard that?

Some people were trying to talk me into Tune Yards, but they are awful.
