It took me a couple listens as well...  but it is a good album.  I have slacked the last month or two and not listened to much new stuff.  I got a promotion at work and have been swamped.  I need to step my game up.  What is coming out soon?
Yeah, with the end of the PHD, a move, and a new job--I've been slacking, too.  Panda Bear is due out before too long--that's the only thing on my radar.  And the Cee Lo album.

My new thing...Gangstagrass.  Blue Grass/Hip Hop hybrid...they did the theme to Justified.  And they're kind of awesome.

A music critic friend of mine just got me a copy of the new Walkmen...if it's anything like that single that leaked, it could be really awesome.
I downloaded it, but I haven't listened to it yet. Too much teaching.

This dude I knew at the show did saw Arcade Fire was awesome when he saw them live a week or two ago.  I can't say one way or the other.
Ive seen Arcade Fire live 3 times at the Hillside Music Festival in Guelph, Ontario.  Those guys are just plain awesome!  My fav band ever to play at Hillside.  Though Buck 65 was a close second, not that you would call a 1 man act a band.
