We needed only one guy this season, and I wasn't very committed to it because (1) it's hard to recruit w/ budget for just one guy, even with plenty of carry-over and NT cash, and (2) I was on vacation. But one afternoon my wife went to get a massage or some such, and I had time to get online.
I got fixated on two guys. One was Carlos Allen; I don't remember the name of the second guy, but he was faster than Allen but with less skills. I decided on Allen and no one else made a big play for him, so it worked out.
Two notes about C. Allen. First, I asked customer service to change his last name randomly since I already have an Allen on the roster. They said "No problem" and suddenly I had Carlos Santana. It's good to know they have a sense of humor. Plus, now I finally have someone who can play guitar.
Second, Carlos Santana has assiduously resisted all of my efforts to redshirt him. In most years his refusal would pose no problem, since either he would give in eventually or I would redshirt someone else. But he is super (natural) stubborn, and I don't have anyone else I can spare this season. So he's going to end up getting minimal playing time and possibly sitting next season anyway. A guy named Carlos Santana should be cooler than that, I think.
