Bastids!

Wow. Beautiful game.

Carpenter is downright nasty though.

Chris Duffy accepted an assignment to Nashville. He was DFA'd over the weekend to make way for Jody Gerut. Or RJ Swindle, don't remember which.

Swindle was sent back down on Monday to clear space for Frank Catalanatto.

It appears the old "Score one run a game" strategy is not going to be as effective as we'd hoped.
5/26/2009 11:05 PM
Mainly because Suppan, Looper, and Parra are on the pitching staff.

And the beatdown goes on.
5/27/2009 4:22 PM
The offense is dying. And Parra needs to throw strikes.

Who knew Rickie Weeks would be the key piece?
5/27/2009 4:41 PM
I'm not sure he was the key piece, but losing him doesn't help. The Brewers weren't batting all that well during their run, they just were pitching really well.

Still not much offense going on but Prince and Corey Hart hit big homers to beat the Reds, 3-2. Braden Looper bouncing back after a couple of poor outings.

Finally some offense! Brewer snap string of 10 consecutive games with four or fewer funs, putting up a six-run fifth and beating the Reds 9-5.

from rotoworld

The Tigers, Giants and Red Sox have all scouted and/or discussed the possibility of acquiring Corey Hart, reports the Boston Globe's Nick Cafardo.

The Giants and Red Sox both have pitching to give, with the Brewers needing a starting pitcher. Hart got off to a slow start on the year, but a couple recent strong games have pushed him to .256/.330/.415 on the season. He makes a lot of sense for the Giants. If the Brewers were to deal Hart, either Jody Gerut or Frank Catalanotto would likely start.
