Before the playoffs 28 hockey experts??? made their predictions of who'd win The Stanley Cup and The Conn Smythe Trophy. Only 2 people picked Pittsburgh to win it all, cenquist and mcbethbr. And cenquist predicted both The Stanley Cup Winner and Evgeni Malkin as the MVP.

...mind you, the part that irks me is that the Penguins were in the East's "cellar" section at the All-Star game and my Canadiens played in that section since the All-Star game.

Congrats Penguins and all my Pennsylvania friends... perfect game. That's how you win a playoff game on the road. They did everything they had to do. Very impressive.

And the Wings' stars were no-shows. Injury, age, or Hossa... don't matter. It gets us all in the end.

the wings suffered from capsitis the past 2 games, trying to make the pretty/perfect play and not trying to drive thru the middle of the ice near fleury.

not to mention the pens played stifling defense. they deserved the series win.

then again, they do have what? 2 #1 overall picks in their lineup and a #2 overall? tanking works if you do it for long enough (and are close friends with the commish and are handed sidney crosby behind closed doors)

Ah another true Wings fan, blame everything in site for your epic choke on home ice!

Well the only negative is that the news is all Crosby.... even though Fleury and Malkin were the top stars.. but other than that.. the best team won and proved it well.. had they not been the victims of some early series bad bounces, it would have been a shorter series
