ok, maybe you could get adam eaton. the pitcher, not the guy who just got traded to the white sox. or mark prior. unless he's retired.

If you included Lough as part of a package, with a RP and a decent prospect, you could possibly get a #4/5 (Wade Davis/Luke Hochevar type).  Or if you trade with the Tigers, you could get Fister.

I think they want Samardzija, but I don't really like giving up the package it would take to get him.

Yeah, that could work. But Lough for Feldman or Lough for Altuve wouldn't work.

Lough/2 ML prospects for a 4/5 pitcher.

The 2-1 win in the series puts the Royals at 4-5. They have been outscored 47-58, or 5.2-6.4 per game. The upcoming series is at the Twins. I figure we'll win 2.

Teams find spots on their roster for good players.

I believe the two words might be "about average".

Gordon made it OUT of the minor leagues at age 23, even though he didn't become a legitimately good major leaguer until 27.

That Lough didn't even make it out of the minors until age 26 does not speak well about what the organization thought of his talent or upside.  The odds are against guys like that becoming even quality regulars, not to mention all-stars like Gordon became.  It can happen, just highly unlikely.
