I wouldn't put them in at 8 but I would at 16.   8 would be the five conference champs and 3 at large bids.    That would be, assuming nothing crazy, FSU/Oregon/Bama/Baylor/OSU.    Then I put in 1 loss TCU and Miss St.   I'd wait to see how things play out but there are a lot to choose from between MSU, KSU, GA, Auburn, the AZ teams, WI, GA Tech and Mizzou.   Right now, I'd go MSU or KSU.   Although I think GA Tech would create a lot of match-up problems and that would be fun.

Also in a defensive park, would you build an team built on scoring runs to offset the negative park ratings and take it easier on pitching and defense knowing the park will make up for those, or build a defensive juggernaut and hope to luck into scoring a run or two every game?

He's going to give up some homers, making his ERA not seem right with his WHIP, but I'd use him as a SP4/5.   
I always build a good defense.   I'd just try to get the best players, pitchers or hitters, within my budget after I built my D.

If you are leading on two coaches for the same role and level, what decides which coach is the one that will sign?
