Kinda on the fence.  I traded away virtually all my short RP in Mantle a couple of seasons ago.   My contending team won 80 games then, after restocking my pen, won 110 the next year.  That said, I had Player Profile: Galahad Harrelson - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports as my top short RP on my recent WS winner.   I've never felt that my bullpen was responsible for winning but they seem capable of keeping me from doing so.

Are arbitration and LT contract demands based only on ratings, or on achievements too?  For instance, if I use a closer and he racks up saves am I only driving up his asking price to my detriment (as happens in real life)?

I'm pretty sure arb is linked somewhat to usage(although I'm not sure saves are a determining factor) while LT demands are ratings based.
