I see a lot of towing with the Ford 350 series and the Chevy Silverado series. I've only owned one Ford and it was in the shop as much as it was on the road. I'd go with one of those bigass Chevy Silverados.

Could I assign him and place him on the DL @ the same time, before submitting pending moves ? or to not have to demote anyone, is my only option to leave him unassigned until he is well, and I am ready to demote a player ?

If he has no options, he would have to be put on the BL roster then DL him. If he has options, put him in AAA and then put him on the 60 day DL. You can't keep him unassigned for 40 HBD days, he'll be released after 30.
