August 17th and i will take my favorite ballpark, Crosley Field in Cincinnati.  We will be known as the Cincinnati Barracudas which was a team name from my 2nd ever progressive team from a few years back.  The league ended after 12 seasons(not the commissioners fault, just seemed to lose interest), but i won 4 world series, so i am hoping the team name can bring me some luck :)

Thanks so much for joining Ace.  Truly glad to have you.  I will do whatever I can to recruit our last 3 so we can have the draft wrapped up before your June vacation.

I've updated the draft pool on page 1.

Draft order question--I get the gist of how it works, but in practice, how high in the draft can an overperforming team rise, and how low can an underperforming team fall? (Assuming no one is deliberately tanking.)

The rule also means it's not a good idea to stash a high-salaried reserve at a position, either, right? I don't mean (for example) a $2 million player who hits extremely well in limited PAs, more like an extra starter that you don't have the opportunity to use completely.

I will post the past 3 years from the Old School Progressive, a single season progressive I'm co-commishing.  That should give you some idea.  Most of the time, the lowest 5 payroll teams pick 1-5 and the highest 5 payroll teams typically pick 10th or higher.  The 5-10 spots are typically up for grabs.

As for keeping higher salaried palyers on your bench, it will affect your salary a bit, but will not hurt your draft position too much as it will also increase the league salary.  I wouldn't recommend a $20 million bench, as that would cost you, but it won't hurt you too much have 1 or 2 extra starters.

OK, I am in with June 8 (birthday) and Forbes Field. That's not a particularly great day for baseball players, but we already have a lot of stars on the draft list.
