The Anti-swampniks are out in full force. Are you guys all sharing a room together someplace? It's like a narcissistic tag team you're all playing, right here in the Pit. Are you calling this your peer review so you can move up to 'the Well' and sound all smart and stuff?
I'm anti-stupidity rather than anti-swamp. There's a difference although it's easy to see why it might be indistinguishable.
Speaking of stupidity, be sure to ask swamp his views on soccer in America.
Soccer became popular in America as part of a left wing plot to make America more like Europe and kids more passive.
Football and Baseball represnt traditional values that the left dislike. They wanted kids to play a game with less winning and more togetherness!
Wow. Well you wandered well afield of the current topic and but remain consistent in your ignorance. Because if you looked at the business model of how almost every single soccer league outside of MLS was run, you'd know it is a good deal more free market and less socialistic than NFL, MLB, NHL or NBA because they don't have wealth-spreading devices such as a salary cap or draft. I won't bother trying to wade through the grassy knolls in your post to discuss why soccer became popular in America.
Recognize this is not a demand to try to shut you down, only an observation that you don't seem to be governed by society's understanding that ignorance is barrier to commenting on a topic. So where most people would just shut up, you fling yourself into any discussion at any time to spout rubbish and then whine about being picked upon to by "the left" when you are mocked for your positions and grip of the facts. And this plays out over and over again in these forums like a wheezing, formulaic sit-com, right down to the canned laugh track. The main star has left to do movies and the executive producer is in rehab but the network has ordered 13 episodes because there's no plausible alternative and advertisers know you'll draw the enough eyeballs from 18-24 year-old males thanks to the female lead's assets being featured in Maxim/FHM.
God, no wonder people still manage to laugh and find you tiresome all at the same time.
