I'm guess a lot of the teams they beat are stupid enough to get into shootouts with them instead of running it down their throats

Why is that stupid?  Their pass D is epic bad, their run D is just plain mediocre.

nobody tries to get in a shootout with New England....what has happened this year is that the Patriots have figured out just soon enough how to stop the other team and then hope they can put up enough points

They face a lot more pass attempts than rushing attempts relative to the rest of the league. Only two defenses have faced more passes.

I think teams have made the mistake of slowing their offenses down this season......if they put it in overdrive for the game, they would score a lot more points than they do....but the theory of using clock to keep Brady off the field seems to be what everyone tries to do

That also has something to do with teams doing a lot of throwing in garbage time/comeback mode in the 4th quarter.

1-they can't stop the pass......ever.....who wouldn't pass on them


2-teams are often behind in the 2nd half and in need of throwing often
