We've got a problem. Marian has already schedule in the #10 spot and there are no alternative scheduling options for the Lawrence-Marian matchup.

Minnesota prevails in this one over Upstate 7-2 to win back-to-back championships, a first for Minnesota. 

Consolation Match- Midwest vs Michigan

1. Olivet at Beloit (58-57)
2. Grinnell at Calvin (66-55)
3. Albion at Ripon (56-78)
4. RHIT at MBBC (47-60)
5. Alma at St. Norbert (99-77)
6. Monmouth at Hope (83-86)

It was feast or famine in the Consolation match with only three games under a double digit scoring margin.  Midwest squeaks by Michigan, 5-4. 

Next season, Minnesota will square off against Midwest in the Championship match.  Upstate will drop down to face Michigan in the Consolation match.

Postscript: I do NOT predict Ripon (which loses 5 seniors this season) will beat Gustavus Adolphus (which returns 5 seniors next season). But in the battle of Ripon v. Ripon, Ripon is guaranteed to lose, which of course implies that Ripon wins.

lol...my apologies all.  While a Ripon vs Ripon battle would be epic, I cannot allow it since it would violate WIS's fair play guidelines that state you cannot schedule yourself.

No problem pep. Thanks for your continued organization of this. The Shootout is one of the great traditions in this game that continues to make Wooden DIII one of the best places to play in all of HD.
