The Sux must have a good bullpen to trade away a reliever.
The only direction for that bullpen to go is up! Lower is impossible!

the sad fact is the sox just have too many stud closers.  they're just struggling to find their appropriate roles.  this will all get settled by aceves and justin thompson over a revolver, 5 empty chambers, and one silver bullet.

the story now is that the players turned on Bobby early in spring training because he yelled at Mike Aviles for not doing a drill the way he wanted....

The real story will come out in the off-season.   After Youk's option is declined and Bobby V has been fired.

I like the 5 moves Jim Bowden suggests to fix the Sox:

1. Deal C Jarrod Saltalamacchia and catching prospects Blake Swihart and Ryan Lavarnway to the Arizona Diamondbacks for C Miguel Montero
2. Trade 1B/3B Kevin Youkilis to the Philadelphia Phillies for OF Domonic Brown and LHP Antonio Bastardo
3. Promote 3B prospect Will Middlebrooks
4. Sign free-agent RHP Roy Oswalt
5. Trade minor leaguers SS Derrik Gibson and 2B Oscar Tejeda to the San Diego Padres for closer Huston Street

1 and 5 seem like deals that could happen, but I question whether the Phillies would do the Youk deal.

According to Bowden?  They have no shot of signing Montero at the end of the season and the deal gives them a combination of 3 short term/long term catching options.

I guess, if AZ falls out of the race, it's possible.   But JS is pretty bad as a C.  A contending team probably doesn't want him behind the plate.
