Can the Celts go after Tyson Chandler?  That would make them my fave for EC title, and keep him away from Miami.  If MIA gets him, it's pretty much over - but that's a big if.

I think it was just Ainge getting fancy, thinking that rolling the dice on making it thru the playoffs with JO + Shaq was worth it to upgrade our bench with a legit wing player.  And he also scooped up a Clippers' 1st rounder because he's a G at making stuff happen with those marginal assets.

It probably would have looked OK if Green wasn't AIDS for us.  Krstic turned out to be the best player in the deal, but now that he's playing in Europe we can't even bring him back for a little extra frontcourt depth.

Celtics worst nightmare is if Green comes back with an offer sheet, as I don't think they would match it.

Don't think it's going to happen though. I don't think there's much of a market for tweener forwards that don't play defense.

it depends, if it's like a 3/20 offer sheet I think they match and amnesty as necessary next offseason if they have a shot at an elite FA

if it's something like 5/40 they wouldn't match, but since he doesn't seem to be on Billy King's radar i don't think there's anybody else out there with the capacity to overvalue him so much.

edit: can you amnesty contracts signed this offseason, or only pre-existing ones?  gotta do some larry coon reading.

how close he'll come to getting it is an entirely different question, but I don't think it's unreasonable for him to ask for that much.

And here I remember you saying a couple of years ago that Chandler was done.  Wasn't really unreasonable at the time... just funny now.  He's a perfect fit on so many teams.

I think it was back when he was still with NOH and got traded to OKC, but didn't pass the physical.

well CP3 is gonna get traded soon and either to the Celts, Clips, or Warriors.

It's unclear whether the Clippers are offering Gordon or not, although they are sofa king retarded if they haven't.  I've also seen something that they aren't going to trade for him without an extension, and if they aren't willing to trade Eric Gordon's suckass for Chris Paul even with an extension, then lol clippers.

Apparently CP3 might extend with the Warriors if they can sign Tyson Chandler and the Hornets seem pretty happy to take Steph Curry, so it sounds like they're sitting pretty if they can get Chandler in place.

Celtics still offering Rondo+, possibly 3 teams, but the good news is that they no longer require an extension which is pretty smart.
