And we have Chavez hitting 3rd with our best slugger on the bench

What is Endy Chavez still doing in the major leagues?
10/10/2012 10:52 PM
He hit .301 for Texas last year.  Pretty empty .301 IIRC, but .301 nonetheless.
10/10/2012 10:54 PM
That really doesn't answer my question.

His glove. Pretty much it.

I'm feeling like we might see Saunders in this game if it goes another inning or two.

Matusz can go 2, Hunter can go 2, Ayala can go 2, Strop can go 1.  I'm not saying we won't see Saunders, but I doubt it would be until the 14th or 15th.  Frankly, I'd be happy to see him since it means Tillman's starting tomorrow.  I would have thought that was a given.

This is the first of three games though. I don't think Buck wants to exhaust all his relievers.

I think Matusz and I just simultaneously shat our pants on that Nix fly ball.

Being behind the plate for bullshit like that must drive Wieters crazy.
10/10/2012 11:11 PM
That was awsome

Baffling. Ibanez rocked Johnson, so what does Matusz do? Throw a ***** get-me-over fastball. Unreal.

I've said all year long that right when the O's start to look really good, they do something that reminds you why they're still not good enough to hang with the big boys. I'll give credit to Ibanez because he does what he's supposed to do with what he's given, but he's a one-trick pony. He can only beat you with the fastball, and that's what he gets - twice, with a bow on top.

I picked the Yanks to win this series, so I'm not going to be upset if they do, but the O's had this in hand. I feel bad for Miggy - he pitched his *** off tonight.

Ibanez is a one trick Pony?  Give the guy a break.  I am sure his feelings are hurt.  I have watched alot of baseball and Yankee fan or not, that was UNBELIEVABLE!

I totally give him his due. He still has to swing and hit the ball over the fence.

But yes, he's a one-trick pony...he doesn't mash breaking balls like that.

Silly O's fan.   The other team didn't do anything right, the O's just did something wrong.

Thank God that the O's screw up every now and then or they'd go 162-0!!!!

That's rich coming from you.
