Could I suggest that IR seasons be treated like any other season?  The whole premise of the league is "you don't know what you'll get".  In a 40's progressive, I had the debate of choosing Ted Williams or Stan Musial.   Teddy was the better player imo, but all his IR and partial seasons led me to pick Musial.  I don't think rolling an IR season should get a re-roll because that would take away part of that players uniqueness.  Ed Farmer would become a great pick, when in reality you'd have to worry about getting 5 IR seasons.  just my thoughts on it.  Also, can a season be selected multiple times?  For example, I have Don Sutton and I get a +2 (1972 season), then next year in 1971 I get a +1 (1972 season), do I get that great year twice, or is it a re-roll?

Good points.  With regards to DL, the reason I think we have to honor them, is otherwise we'd never have the right number of players.  I'd rather have a set number and just ignore injuries, that way at least you'd know you have 25 players.  As far as how many times can you roll the same season, I think its OK if it happens mutliple times because there is no guarantee they perform the same because of randomness.

I agree with chargingryno on the DL thing. If a guy is out for a season, wouldn't you just get an extra pick in the draft to make up for it? Either way I'm still in, but that's my two cents on it.

How about allowing more AAA guys that usual? That way we could have the misfortune of rolling a DL season, but be able to call someone up to take his place. That's what real teams have to do.

As for the logistics of entering the league with a 25 man roster, teams could draft 200K guys to fill any empty slots.

I've set the AAA for 6/4, but perhaps 12/4 would be better?  I'll think about the DL thing.  Tajohn dropped out.  Down to 22.  I'd love to start this next week as I have some time.  I'll promote it in my leagues and we should be off and running.

I think 6/4 is good enough.  There's plenty of players in the 70's to not have to depend on AAA - just a spot filler here and there would do.
