Just so the more people can know:

What is the Council?
Who is on it?
What is it's purpose?
We are an under cover department of the F.B.I. that makes sure there is no collusion or underhanded shenanigans  going on in GD.
We also make sure only our own win in big games !
Colusion. Ticket sent.

I skimmed through the forums and didnt see a "council forum".  Did I miss it or is it just available to the council members?
It's only available to council members, and is closed to the general GD community because it's easier for the developers (i.e. Norbert) to discuss things with a handful of well-respected, experienced coaches, than to have to wade through flame wars or long discussions of ideas that simply aren't possible to implement.  They aren't read only either, since then any 'off the top of my head' idea that's proposed would cause a flood of tickets that Norbert would have to handle, rather than working on getting the update out.

The members (I don't know who they are), are invited to join the council, and act as a liaison between the GD community and the developers.

At one point, they were also the beta testers, and despite the posts/rants to the contrary, they gained little, if any, 'secret' knowledge (if I remember correctly, they went through a whole season, including 'recruiting', in about a day).
It would be nice if all the coaches could see this but only members post. It would help with the thoughts that there is an advantage.

I'd love to bug the council members with 10+ sitemails a day!

Question is, how many of the council members are actually still playing GD?

not rude, just that many coaches dont regularly check the council so i tried to get the word out on here where most coaches check semi-regularly.  we're just trying to figure out at the base level, how the game should work.  when you're x-amount of pts better in attributes, how much success should that result in, etc.  stuff like that.  basically we're all just trying to get on the same page expectation-wise at the moment.
Does the Coach's Council meet?  If so, are punch and cookies served?

I agree although I will say, whenever I asked a direct question to a council member on some aspect of the game, they gave me a direct answer.

So I don't think any of them hoarded secret knowledge to keep an "advantage".

LOL, you crack me up with that $hit.  Any time a meeting is brought up, that's your question.
