1. select your franchise. 2. select a free agent. this FA must be someone who played for your franchise 1950-2011, and will appear as a member of your franchise. For example, if you chose a yankees season, and Reggie Jackson as your FA, it would have to be Reggie from one of his Yankee years.
#3. Once the season starts, we simply manage, until the first place team in your division reaches 10 wins. At that point, you may select any player you want from the WW. Only one single pick for each 10 W or 10 L plateau of the 1st place team in your division. These selections from the WW can be absolutely anyone, any salary, any franchise, any position. If he is on the WW, and you are eligible to select, he is yours.
You do not have to select a pre-season FA, if you'd choose not to, nor are you forced to make a WW decision at the very moment the 1st place team reaches 10 wins. If you don't find anyone you want on the WW, you may hold your pick indefinitely, while you keep checking the WW for a player you desire.

I will have my team together by  Monday April 2, if that is okay. If I am holding up the whole league though, tell me and I will see how much time I can pry loose from work and family over the weekend.

But if we are not already full up by then, my team should be  on line at that point.

I'm going to jump in this time pfattkatt. Team TBD.

Just to be clear.... the 10 win or loss plateau.... is it one or the other or both.
For instance, if the division leader is at 9 wins and 9 losses, the next game they win so they hit 10 wins, that means we can hit the WW because they reached 10 wins. The next game they lose and reach 10 losses, can we hit the WW again for the 10 losses?

The extra WW pickups have to be from your franchise or no?
No, I am sure the WW pickups can be from any team.
