Well, the monthly U.S. military death rate in Afghanistan has been 5x higher under Obama than it was under Bush.  That's " more hardcore" in my book.

Obama has also gone out of his way repeatedly to insult the Brittish, who have historically been our closest ally.

you've got to provide evidence. How is Obamacare crushing small business? Data please. You know, if the Federal gov't provided it rather than employers, that would be an improvement, would it not? Single-payer? Why should a families health care be dependent on employment?

Why was the stimulus a "disaster"? Define disaster. It probably wasn't big enough. It did save Detroit though. What would have happened without the stimulus? Ruminate on that for us.

So to sum up, you are in favor of the government doing nothing during economic hard times. Let the people suffer. Let the housing market hit bottom, let Detroit go bankrupt. If you are 5 and your mom and dad don't have a good health insurance plan through their employer, because you live in a right to work (for less) state, well, don't get sick. If you get laid-off and you have a pre-existing health condition and you get a new job...well, too bad about that. Do I have that all right Swamp? I would not want to mischaracterize your positions.

What about Gitmo? Presidents find out certain things after they get elected, and not before. I am going to assume that new information was received that altered his position on that. What's the problem with drones? Would you rather have actual pilots at risk?

Show me the "Bush plan" so we can see if it is exactly like "Bush had it set up"
If Bush had  done the job in Afghanistan the first time, we would not still be there. Oh yeah, and Iraq would not have happened.

2 schools of thought.

1 During economic bad times the government should step in and stimulate the economy.
2 The Government taking capital out of the free market slows the natural economic recovery.

I think in reality everyone from Bachman to Kucinich feel that there is middle ground.

The CBO isnt really good at independent thought. They do the numbers as they are told, with no critical analysis.

The stimulus was poorly managed and agenda driven. You had to spend on what Obama wanted, not what your state needed.

If they had just tried to get as many jobs as possible it might have been less of a burden, but they were clearly making a political point in the spending.
