I'm in no matter what everyone decides.  The original idea is still the reason we signed up.

HERE GOES.......THIS IS HOW WE WILL START THIS LEAGUE (with the possibility of changes in the future if things don't work out down the road if necessary)

1 OF EVERY 5 SEASONS MUST BE A SUB-.525 WIN PCT
I went with .525 because some teams just won't have enough sub .500 seasons to be able to follow the rule.  Now...you can use MORE than 1 sub-.525 season every 5 yrs...but you must use AT LEAST 1.   I will track this.    I still think there is a large SECRET aspect to each season this way.    I think it still keeps the main point of the league intact.

TEAMS WITH A WIN PCT UNDER .600 CAN CHOOSE 1 NYYANKEE FROM THE SAME SEASON AS THEIR TEAM
Here is how this will work.....each season when an owner sitemails me with their teams season they will also SEND ME A LIST OF THREE YANKEES FROM THAT SEASON THEY WOULD LIKE.   If we get multiple teams from the same year then the team with the lowest win pct gets their first choice...and so on.   So if 2 teams have the same player first....the lower win pct gets that player....and the other team would get their 2nd choice of Yankee.  I will inform you after I have received all teams which player you get

I like this rule because it does get Yankees into the league...but rather than them getting everyone else's players each year....they have to split up and play with the common folk around the league

INTERLEAGUE PLAY
Man...I've been going round and round with this.   With NO interleague it means the best teams in the NL can't beat up on the bad teams in the AL.    However...if there is a good team or two in the AL East they would get to play all season against worst teams in the rest of the league.   So YES interleague would force good teams in the AL East to still have to play good teams from the NL.     So I am confused on this one.

For right now......I want to go with NO interleague.   For this rule I will still take some feedback.

THE ISSUE OF BAD TEAMS HAVING NO CHANCE IN THE PLAYOFFS
Well....I guess this will most likely be the case.....but a) you do receive monetary credit for making the playoffs and b) we have ALL seen 82-80 teams take out 115 win teams in the playoffs.  I know I have.   Personally, the fun of playing with players I NEVER use is intriguing enough for me to use those teams....but I am probably in the minority.    If people want to quit after using their good teams knowing it will screw everyone else....I guess we can't totally avoid that.  I am going to use some trust in humanity here

I think the first two new rules are perfect.  I would still prefer interleague, though.  Everyone is still playing the same teams no matter if you're in the AL or NL, so I don't really see the drawback, but it's not too big a deal one way or the other I guess.

Thank cs.  If many others feel same we can change interleague rule.  Just had a difficult time deciding what I thought was best

I am good with everything I still in !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can go either way with interleague.  Whatever the majority decides.  I also really like the Yankee rule.  That will add an element to the strategy of what season to use and when.

Reminder to everyone that according to the rules on page one we'll be aligning according to win pct. (Top four in NL East through bottom four in AL West). That may or may not make a difference when deciding yay or nay on interleague play.

I'd lean against it but will be a happy camper with or without it.

Another possibility, though I'd rather not, is to lower the league size.

I wish there were a way to have wild cards with 20 teams. 24 is lowest number where we still get WC's. If we get stuck at 20 we can reconsider

something we all have to remember is that sometimes we will 'punt' a season.  I know that sounds terrible but you may use a bad season to just get it out of the way.   we all have to do it.   Plus...youneverknow....maybe you win a bad division and get a few bucks from admin

ALSO....i think we should have a '2nd in command.'     I should have to send my team to that owner so that everyone knows I didn't see the teams in the league then choose mine

Interleague Pros (by division)-this is my opinion

NL East - cream of the crop; I don't think interleague will greatly affect them.

NL Central - I think interleague will greatly increase each teams record and help the cream to rise to the top.

NL West/AL East - I think these 2 divisions "need" interleague play the most. The NL West will most likely
be the division to get shafted by this setup. Interleague will allow them to improve their overall record and possibly
keep us from have 2-3 sub-.500 teams making the playoffs. AL East probably will be similar in quality to NL West
but would/should feast on rest of AL. Allowing interleague would allow the best of this division to separate themselves
from rest of division-mates by grabbing a few more wins from NL opponents than others will. Without interleague I
see this division being pretty tight (not altogether a bad thing), but interleague will help bring out the best.

AL Central - This may be the division most "hurt" by interleague. Could help bring the cream of division to the top or
cause us to see a sub-.500 team win division.

AL West - These teams will likely be worse off with interleague, but will probably be bad w/o anyway. I see sub-.500
either way.
