Hard to tell if the Nets have won or lost this offseason. They managed to keep Deron Williams which is a huge win, but they decided to get Joe Johnson's awful contract and pay $10M/year for Gerald Wallace, who they acquired in the first place for what ended up being the 6th overall pick. Could have ended up with Harrison Barnes for like $7M less a year. With all these contracts they can't add Dwight Howard even if the Magic took the terrible offer the Nets have out there.

Dallas' plan was to get Deron Williams and Dwight Howard. Now they'll end up with neither and a crap-ton of money with no one worth spending it on. They could end up with Nash again, though.

Eric Gordon's signed a max offer sheet with Phoenix, doesn't want to play for New Orleans, but he doesn't have a choice. If he was smart he'd take the one year offer and be unrestricted next season.

Nash is a Laker, Grant Hill soon to follow

Jason Terry is a Celtic

Michael Beasley is a Sun

and the question all fans wanted an answer to....YES, Hasheem Thabeet will be a member of the Thunder

I was upset back in 2009 that OKC didn't end up with Thabeet, ended up with James Harden instead. Now we got them both, huzzah!

Kidd is a Knick

Kyle Lowry is a Raptor

Jamal Crawford is a Clipper (now that is the Clipper squad I am used to, making bad decisions and such--I hate Crawford)

and my beloved Rockets will fully experience Linsanity

Only thing worse that could happen to Dallas at this point is a Dirk injury.

Don't understand the Crawford appeal either. 40% high volume shooter, ick. Also he doesn't play a lick of defense.

Lin is going to be grossly overpaid, but it appears the Knicks will be the team getting that terrible contract as they'll match the offer.

So far the word is that the Knicks won't match the offer because the Rockets backloaded the deal and in years 3 and 4 the Knicks will have to pay a fortune in the luxury tax if they try to sign him.

I think the Knicks match.  Jeremy Lin is worth a fortune to any franchise, I just can't see him being let go.

You may be right now that they signed Kidd to teach him how to play PG.  I guess the homer in me wants to see him play in Houston

who has been more screwed so far this off season? Dallas is my leading candidate

Yeah, because they put all their capital on the pipe dream of getting Deron Williams and Dwight Howard, and then Deron ended up staying with the Nets.

Only lost Terry and Kidd, but their only guards are Roddy B (who will finally get a chance to see if he's any good) and Vince Carter. Sessions is in the mix. OJ Mayo would be a good pick-up as well. Fair chance they could pick up Elton Brand if they're under the cap when he's amnestied. They'll still be a playoff team unless something happens to Dirk.

Houston should be in the discussion too as they dumped most the guys on their team, and they'll be really bad.

Brand amnestied, N YOung to sixers, and Jesus Shuttlesworth to the Heat.        What's everyones take on the stars teaming up?

Well, it's the only way to win.  The key appears to be that old talent is better than young energy

Looking back at the heyday of the NBA (80's + 90's), there were a few talent-heavy teams that were at the top every year.  I'd rather see that than 1 star and a bunch of scrubs on every team.

Smart move by Ray.  No way he stays in Boston more than a year without getting traded anyway so might as well choose his own destiny.  Must have been wise with his money to turn down so much, but FL has no income tax either.  Miami just got a lot better.

nah- he can shoot but they had some of that already - think he might be kind of cooked
