The Bert Tuttle Case Study Topic

After Mr. Tuttle's offseason regression, I am posting three rows of player ratings: his start values, his values after FR season, and his values at the start of his sophomore season:

ame Yr. Pos. A SPD REB DE BLK LP PE BH P WE ST DU FT TOT
Robert Tuttle HS PF 90 12 46 68 49 49 12 1 11 2 73 36 D 450
Robert Tuttle FR year-end PF 90 13 47 70 50 53 11 1 9 3 74 38 D 460
Robert Tuttle SO start PF 88 13 47 69 50 53 10 2 9 3 70 38 D 452

Mr. Tuttle is essentially back where he started, although I am surprised that his LP numbers stayed the same after offseason regressions. I didn't expect to see a drop in his ATH - perhaps his low WE caused him to get fat over the summer? And I found it curious that his BH went up considering I put no practice time into that category all season.

He is basically in line with what I expected, and I still plan to start him every game as a Sophomore. I'll post an update with his practice plan for the year after recruiting ends.

Normally on these ultra-low WE kids, their ST declines on a season-over-season basis, with all of the losses coming in the offseason.  So this guy will probably decline to ~64 ST by the time he's done.

Well, Mr. Tuttle's time has come to an end for Tusculum. Although he was a a nice plug-in for us as we started to rebuild a former SIM program, he became expendable as our program improved. He was relegated to third string as a junior and would have been set to mopup duty as a senior, which is no way for a semi-famous senior to end his career. It would be like marrying a Kardashian.

Happily, Bert will end his collegiate career at Chicago in the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Conference. Here is how he ended up for us.

Name Year Pos A SPD REB DE BLK LP PER BH P WE ST DU FT TOT
Robert Tuttle HS PF 90 12 46 68 49 49 12 1 11 2 73 36 D 450
Robert Tuttle FR Year-End PF 90 13 47 70 50 53 11 1 9 3 74 38 D 460
Robert Tuttle SO PF 90 15 47 72 50 56 11 1 8 3 70 40 D 463
Robert Tuttle JR PF 90 17 48 75 50 60 8 2 5 3 67 42 D 467

His IQ's will work out nicely for Chicago, who runs the same OFF and a press DEF (we ran a combo). His Motion IQ ended up as a B with us, and his Press was a B-, with the Zone a C+. All of us at Tusculum wish him well in the big city of Chicago! We'll be watching.
