How many CF in your world meet the "recommended" ratings for all 4 defensive ratings (R85, G85, AS60, AA65)?

For purposes of this survey, please count only left handed throwers, (to exclude players that could/should be played at SS or to a lesser extent 2B). 

My player search for CFs in uecker World shows none at the ML level and none in the minors (we've rolled but haven't generated schedules yet, so I'll update when the regular season starts).

I'll update the tally in the post below as responses are received.

He's well over the recs on all but AS, where he peaked at 61 and at age 33 is now 59. He is working on his 5th consecutive GG (6th overall). (Not sure that link works, but Paste Clipboard is crapping out on me.)

Why exclude righties?  Sure they make great 2Bs, but anyone who meets your requirements would also exceed the average 2B ratings.

But I don't think you should include AS and AA....because who really cares about that in a CF?

BertAlexander doesn't meet the AS/AA requirements but he's won 4 GG's in CF.  Man he's 96/90......arm doesn't matter with those numbers.

Ah, about time for one of these.

If you don't draft, sign and develop CF who can't hit, you won't have defensive CF.   If your world is like mine, and most are, you'll find very few owners who'll draft and develop the 95/90/65/70 CF with hitting ratings of 5/23/31/27/41.   And, even if they do but let SIMMY run their minors, those guys won't play if there's a better hitter listed at "CF".

Average hitter with good speed.   Also GG potential at CF/2B.   Cut loose before his 3rd arb season.  I picked him up late in FA because I had money to spend.  It's entirely possible, if I hadn't, his career is over at 28.   Now he's a FA asking for 5.9m.   If I was keeping the team, I wouldn't sign him.  I'd let him go to FA, maybe a Type A, definitely a Type B, and bring him back again at a discounted rate.

Well, we know why it's only lefties.   The "point" is to "prove" that WifS doesn't give us enough CF who meet their recs.   But we have to ignore certain things to get to that "point". 

Yea, I have no lefties in my system that meet those qualifications.  But plenty of right-handed guys in my system who do.

FWIW, I think most of us make concessions of some sort in CF as the best will have a RF of 2.6-2.7 while number 25 will finish somewhere between 2.1-2.2.    So we leave 81 outs on the table at the bottom but maybe we have a guy with an OPS of .720 instead of .515.   Most of us take that trade-off every time.   So we'll take that 86/71/55/54 guy and let the 95/89/65/68 projection rot in HiA.

FWIW, I have a CF (who is lefty!) who does not meet 3 of the 4 recs and had 13 + plays and 0 - plays the last 2 seasons.  (84/90/58/57)

We all know the throwing hand doesn't mean diddly squat in the engine...so why care about it?  I've played left handed shortstops before without knowing it...

Well, LH SS/2B/3B don't play up to the rest of their ratings.

At SS/3B this obviously true, but I'm pretty sure I've heard of lefty 2B having distinct advantages...
