favorite duo's: not the best, just my favs... however, the best duo so far, imo, k. malone-chandler

1. drob-camby
2. barkley-billups
3. bird-erving
4. lbj-porter
5. malone-chandler
8/25/2012 9:40 AM
most surprising picks:

1. hakeem at no. 14
2. barkley falling to no. 17 (good god!)
3. brent barry going in the 2nd?
4. moses dropping to 10th
5. garnett going in the 2nd
8/25/2012 9:43 AM
revised fav duo

1. wilt-frazier, now nance. nice grouping, coach!
8/25/2012 11:04 AM
ya I'll need to pick up some late 3's, but D and efg remain high, while TO's and fouls remain low which is kinda what I was going for. Plus I love the fact that it gives me flexibility later cuz Frazier could shift over and play sg and nance could slide down and play sf. So there are a lot of different directions I could go depending who's left.
8/25/2012 11:15 AM
So you're going with a high scoring wilt then I guess?
8/25/2012 11:35 AM
I don't know if I am feeling bad because I passed up McHale for Daniels. . .  or if I am feeling terrible because now cap has Gilmore and McHale. I can't figure out what to do next with the duo that I have. I see big problems ahead but mostly likely not enough to get the chance to take Wilt after this season.

I think that coach has the best draft going so far. So many good choices should be there in round 4 and 5 to round out that roster. Nice work.
8/25/2012 12:43 PM
i think it's because of wade. wade is a great player, but i think he's best suited for the odl, but not these high cap leagues. his high usage (36%) paints an owner into a kind of box. he scores, he plays defense, shoots some 3's and dishes some, but he really doesn't bring the kitchen sink because of his fg% and t.o.'s. still, you can pair him with a 2nd great scorer, like mchale and fg%.

i've never liked daniels. he's a favorite among many owners, but to spend a 2nd round pick on him i think is a reach. he has very nice board %'s, but can't hit free throws, he fouls, and doesn't dish. his def is a bit suspect as well for a 2nd rounder. i think it was a poor choice vancem for what was still on the board. i don't get to say that to you too much. haha.
8/25/2012 1:23 PM
11 usage points so far.

8500 minutes +

two guys who can pass with 25+ Ast% and a great big man.

I am liking my start.
8/25/2012 3:45 PM
I really thought there was a better chance of Nance falling than Grant, but I'm bummed I couldn't get my preferred Jordan/Grant/Nance start. Jones is a decent approximation of Nance, but without the crazy low TOs and lower fouls.

Still like MJ/Horace/Jones and my plan moving forward, but wanted Nance, dammit!
8/25/2012 4:49 PM
I am liking my Shaq-Jesus Shuttlesworth-Ibaka combo.  Shot blocking will be strong early on.

i don't feel sorry for anyone who loses players when they have jordan on their team  : /

1) coachcroft- Wilt Chamberlain, Walt Frazier, Larry Nance, Danny Granger, Rasheed Wallace, Don Buse, Tyrus Thomas

I like what i'm seeing, coach you still have all your options open to use a high or low usage Wilt. Frazier  was a great pick up and I'll love the Nance pick if he plays SF.

Coach this team started slipping away with the granger pick and was lost with the Buse pick. I think 35 wins is going to be hard to reach without another rebounder.
no playoffs here.

2) jethroeg - Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Gary Payton, Kevin Willis, Elvin Hayes, Leandro Barbosa, John Havlicek, Paul Pressey

Kareem - check, Payton - check, Willis - WTF? You could have gotten Willis in the 6th round. this pick cost ya.

this went south after payton, to many lost possesion to many losses.

3) tarheel1991 - Michael Jordan, Horace Grant, Bobby Jones, Clifford Ray, Kris Humphries, Kenny Smith, Delonte West

Love Jordan and i like Horace at the 3. Does that make Bobby the back up at the 2 and 3 holes, if so i'm feelin it. Sorry Heel, if bobby can't play the 2 i'm confused why you drafted both this early.

i think this team plays for the tittle tarheel, rebounds .. check, efg%.. check, defense..check . 3's .. check . Rebounding  sf .. check, rebounding sg ...check  offense rebs ..check. yeah its all there!

4) xxevilivexx - LeBron James, Terry Porter, Wes Unseld, Ryan Anderson, DeAndre Jordan, Brandon Rush, Brent Price

Ah!! Lebron, he makes me drool. Porter and Wes are sweet. But I don't see that guarenteed  championship yet. You have more work to do evil.

Don't see this working without alot more pieces. incomplete

5) tricky24 - Dennis Rodman, Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Love, Peja Stojakovic, Mark Price, Paul Milsap, Tim Hardaway

Now this team intrigues me so far. Rodman the best rebounder in the league teamed with 2 of the best 3pt shooting bigs to ever play the game. Don't know if it will work but  i can't wait to see who you round this roster out with.

Price, Hardaway and peja at the guards. Rodman, Dirk and Love at PF/C and milsap at the 3. Thats alot of 3's, hardaway will shot you out of alot of games. everyone else i like. Rodman's gonna be chasing rebounds all over the place. Bubble team

6) ncih (1) - Karl Malone, Tyson Chandler,Mookie Blaylock, Derek Harper, Rudy Tomjanovich, Johnny Green, JaVale McGee

I really like the Malone, Chandler front court combo. I only hope Blaylock doesn't shoot this team in the foot by taking to many shots away from karl.

I can see this team being one of the last 2 standing. Malone and Chandler get it done down low and Blaylock and Harper form a super back court. Rudy T and Green more than handle the SF position. Going to be hard to beat...

7) ncih (2) - Kevin Durant, Buck Williams, Swen Nater,Rajon Rondo, Nick Anderson, Omer Asik, Eddie House

Whats not to like, Durants a scoring machine, they all  clean the boards and ft's are good. But, Nater plays no D and i see turn overs being a possible issue

.I would like this team alot better with Durant at the 2 and a offense rebounder at the 3 but hey thats just me. Anderson, House and Durant give you plenty of 3's. Rondo supplies the dimes and defense in the back court. Buck and Nater supply the boards and this team makes the show.

8) malone9975 - Shaquille O'Neal, Ray Allen, Serge Ibaka,Emeka Okafor, Kevin Johnson, Antonio Mcdyess, Raja Bell

Love me some Shaq !! Ray Allen  tons of 3's !!  Is Ibaka playing the 3 hole ? If he is then i like it. He may have went a little early but its hard to pass on 100 D guys.

Ibaka, Mcdyess and Bell will foul a little. Mcdyess will take some crazy shots bell and allen will hit a ton of 3's, Okafor helps Shaq on the boards and Shaq and KJ lead this team on a deep playoff run

9) bluenote75 - Dwight Howard, Donyell Marshall, Tom Boerwinkle, James Harden, Stephen Curry, Andre Iguodala, Andris Biedrins

I like this trio alot Dwight and Boerwinkle inside and Marshall hitting spot up 3's the stuff dreams are made of.

I like everyone of your picks. iggy i'm a little iffy about but i did see 1 season i liked. Squad looks solid. offensive rebounds a little light fouls a little high. Overall everthing looks good. If harden, curry and iggy perform this is a top team if not Howard, marshall and boerwinkle won't be enough for a extended playoff run

10) ginandjuice - Moses Malone, Elton Brand, Reggie Miller, Samuel Dalembert, Jose Calderon, Rodney Rogers, David Lee

Nice trio so far gin but i'm worried about the Reggie pick. You probable could have gotten him in a later round. I see that 3rd pick biting you on the *** later.

I like what you did here gin. Dalembert and Lee will help Mo and Brand control the boards. Calderon, Miller and Rogers can all shoot the 3 ball and Rogers is a good offensive rebounder at the 2. This team could use more assists but Moses, Brand and Miller should get you in the playoffs.

11) katernberg - Chris Paul, Kobe Bryant, Willis Reed, Josh Smith, Maurice Lucas, Mark jackson, Marcin Gortat

Paul and Kobe now thats a duo!! Reed's ok but Paul and Kobe !!!

awesome back court, Paul and Kobe are explosive while Jackson will bring a steading effect to this trio. i can easily see 60 pts and 24 dimes here. Your front court is going to kill you, not enough boards. Lucas and Gortat won't give Reed and Smith enough help.

This team will be up and down and fade from the playoff race.

12) banditone - Shawn Marion, Deron Williams,Weslsey Person, Bob McAdoo, Dave Cowens, Michael Redd, Happy Hairston

banitone I thank you've captured the Wilt sweepstakes for next season. I like all your players but you reached in every round.

banditone where is your star, stud the big kahuna?  You can't win without at least one. I see a long season with this group of pussycats.

13) dh555 - David Robinson, Marcus Camby, Clyde Drexler,Marques johnson, Charlie Ward, Alonzo Mourning, Jamal Tinsley

Drob and Camby, Mr Ying and Mr Yang  these 2  compliment each other perfectly and Drexler gives you a great back court player that does every thing, shoots, steals, rebounds plays good defense. This team is high on my list so far....

Impressive team just need to fill in the back up sg/sf positions with some 3 pt shooters that don't foul alot and can dish the ball an you have a tittle contender.

Camby, drob and zo make and awesome pfc combo and marquis johnson and Clyde will hold their own at the 2 & 3 holes. Pg is my biggest concern with this team but Ward and Tinsley are ok.

Fill in the blanks and I'll see ya in the playoffs.

14) gunner21 - Hakeem Olajuwon, Oscar Robertson, Bob Lanier, Lamar Odom, Dan Majerie, Chris Andersen, Steve Mix

3 picks 12 usage points bring on the low usage guys. I would love these 3 if the sim would give the Big O his due ! It won't so i'll need to see the rest of this team.
The best Big O team I've seen in sometime. Oscar and majerle form a nice tandem in the backcourt. Dan will hit a bunch of 3's and play solid defense and Oscar will do a lot of everything.

Your front court of Hakeem, lanier and Odom is one of the best in the league. Plenty of dimes, rebounds and scoring. Interior defense is good with Hakeem guarding the paint.

Eveyone can dish on this team making their efg% even higher. This team is top 5 good job gunner.

15) 98average (1) - Magic Johnson, Brent Barry, Patrick Ewing, Dan Roundfield, P.J. Brown, Rick Barry, Jeff Ruland

Magic does it all, Barry can pass and knock down the 3's, Ewing shoots a high efg% nice rebounder. I like this team so far.

No! No! No! Roundfield, Ruland, Ewing, that's what you will be yelling as each one picks up yet another foul. The interior defense will be a mug fest.

And Magic and Brent are going to hate Rick Barry shooting them out of games with his high usage and poor efg%.
This team struggles and misses the show

16) 98average (2) - John Stockton, Scottie Pippen, Amare Stoudemire, Bill Bridges, Tree Rollins, Jerry West, Brad daugherty

This team is pretty much a clone of 98's 1st team with more steals. Stockton passes and shoots the 3 ball, Pippen does it all, Amare shoots a high efg% nice rebounder. Both of 98's teams are going to need stud rebounders. can't wait to see who they are.

98 I like this team one minute and I hate it another. I think Stockton, Pippen and Amare are going to get this team a playoff spot.
On the other hand, Rollings and West are going to make you pull your hair out.

I like both Bridges and the Daugherty picks.

I love the efg% and steals and fta. Hate the fouls and more fouls and turn overs could cost you. But overall this is a playoff team.

17) sappy - Charles Barkley, Chauncey Billups, Robert Parish, Carlos Boozer, Hersey Hawkins, Jameer Nelson, Larry Smith

Well sappy you must be living right, Barkley falls to 17 and you get Parish to fall to you in the 3rd after 34 other bigs have been taken. Man thats nice, you also get Billups in the 2nd. I'm about to jump on the band wagon. By the way, if you go to the store don't forget the lotty ticket.

Sappy, this team offensively can do it all. High efg, tons of fta, nice dimes, shoots 3's well. Billups and Barkley are studs.

However were is the defense. Boozer, Parish and Smith and Barkley combined couldn't stop my grandma but they will dominate on the glass. They also will turn the ball over more than I like and Smith is a foul machine. Your going to need to out score your opponents because their will be no defensive stops.

Hawkins and nelson wil keep the offense humming. This team will be fun to play. scores will be 150- 145 unfortunately, I see you losing more time than not . Just out of the playoffs .

18) captainzen - Artis Gilmore, Kevin McHale, Steve Nash, Grant Hill, Joe Dumars,Tracy Mcgrady, Kenneth Faried

Yikes !! holy efg%, 2 high usage guys with efg% over 58 and one 44 minute a game monster who also has over 58 efg%. great job so far.

DAM Captainzen, i feel like you bought this team at IKEA, the instructions are in a foreign language and half the parts are missing....To much usage, to many guards, no rebounds i'm lost and so is this team. try again next season.
