Ryan Lost His Hometown Badly

Even though Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) won re-election at the same time he was on the national ticket, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel notes he was crushed in his hometown of Janesville, WI by challenger Rob Zerban (D), 55% to 44%. Ryan had never lost Janesville in a re-election campaign before.

In addition, the Obama-Biden ticket defeated Romney-Ryan ticket in Janesville by a whopping 25 points, 62% to 37%.

"The drop-off from the Ryan congressional vote to the Romney-Ryan presidential vote was much larger in Janesville (7.2 points) than it was in the rest of the congressional district (3 points). Put another way, there were more Ryan ticket-splitters in Janesville than other places: people who voted for Ryan for Congress but against Ryan for vice president."

When did this become a landslide?

Obama won by less than he did last time.

Why does that not make this win a landslide?  The numbers prove it.

Winning by 2.5% is a landslide?

Winning 26 states to 23 is a landslide.

Solid Electoral win, but not massive by any regards? Not top ten in last 100 years.

So how does this become a landslide?

In realiy he lost support but a large margin. About 15% less people voted for him.

The questions should be is how is Obama going to work to tr to be more of a President for all the people.

332-206.

I hope we can all agree that Dick Morris is gutter scum.

And the first 2 people clearly refered to it as an "Electoral Landslide".

Obama squaked out a win.

If anyone thought that I had been posting less, you can see why I have come to the conclusion that having a discussion with swamp is POINTLESS!

The electoral college is the system we use to elect Presidents.

You could win each state by one vote and have all the electoral votes and only win by 50 people.

To call what Obama won by Landslide is crazy.

******* POINTLESS!

Obama wins in what should have been a cakewalk for a competent opponent. In the Senate defending 23 seats to the Republicans 10, the Dems go +2. In the House the Dems are currently at +7, with a couple more looking their way. Allen West is out, Dan Lungren is probably out, Joe Walsh is out. This after 2010 when EVERYTHING was moving the Rs way enroute to a clean sweep in 2012.....oops...
