Wow - I can't believe I actually won one of these.  After 8 years of trying I had pretty much relegated myself to being happy with a top 10.  I just don't play enough to consistently beat all the top players here - luck must have been on my side this year!

And brian - it was a great battle - of course it had to come down to an extra inning game 7 in the 90 mil league to determine the WISC.  I thought my 90 mil team was my best team so luckily for me that's what it came down to.  It didn't hurt that ryan horner came back from a 3-2 deficit against you in the 120 mil league. Also - I think you were dealing with the curse of being the previous year's winner since no one has won this thing back-to-back :)

I'll take a small bit of solace in knocking off two of mildnhazy's teams in the World Series.

Congrats mildnhazy, you earned it, especially with your generally terrific round 2 playoff performance (that's just not like you!).

I'm profoundly disappointed in my round 2 performance. Quite honestly: it was embarrassing, especially having done so well in round 1. I just completely blew it. I made *alot* of mistakes, although of course, the competition in round 2 is pretty intense, so even tiny mistakes are greatly compounded.

I'll just have to learn from this and try again next year. Again, congrats mildnhazy, and pretty impressive job from brianjw who came so close to a repeat championship...

Congrats mildnhazy and brianjw...you are truly amazing players of this entertaining, yet frustrating, little game. Bardin, I feel your pain.  I look forward to the next tourney.

It looks like the Pre-rankings were pretty good.  10 of the top 12 pre-ranked owners finished in the top 15.  Fifteen of the top 24 pre-ranked owners made it to the top 24.
