Okay, schwarze's theme inspired this one.  I, too, will turn 50 this year.  I have a brother who is 7 years older than I, and I looked up to him a great deal when I was growing up. His favorite player Was Willie McCovey.  I must have known a little about baseball before 1971, because I knew his favorite, but the first time I remember really getting into it was the 1971 World Series.  During that Series I chose a favorite player of my own -- Willie Stargell -- in all honesty it was almost certainly because his first name was "Willie". So...

We look somewhat hitter-heavy so perhaps a change will be needed, but this is a start.

Last name: Bonds
First name: B
34 players.

Slightly over the limit, but I feel it has quite the quality gradient and some interesting choices to be made in the middle...

Looks like 13 hitter categories already filled. If the goal is to have 10-11 pitchers, looks like max two more hitter categories available.

Also (and I'm part of the problem) there look to be five categories which are OF.  In order posted: i) Fast HOF (mostly OF); ii) Hide 'em in the Corner; iii) Willie All Star OFs; iv) Bonds; v) .400 hitting OF

Mine is a bit OF heavy at the top at least also. Happy to change it - will just wait to see how everything plays out.

We are very heavy in the OF.  I may tweak my category a bit since there is a lot of overlap with other catgories (Bonds, .400 hitters, etc.)  We need more pitcher categories.

I have tweaked my category  (changed to infield only, 20 game min, include secondary positions, lowered avg to .350+)

I have a potentially interesting alternative somewhat involving pitchers if necessary (with an even bigger gradient...), but I kinda like Bonds. I feel like it can wait till we have most of the categories in before considering changeing though.
