Will we see a realignment of conferences with the soon release of 3.0?

No, the game needs 12 team conferences.

Yes, I understand that fully. But some team can be swapped out to make the worlds more realistic.

You will not see that in the first several versions of GD 3.0.  And, to be honest, no one is going to be fully happy with "swapping some teams to make the worlds more realistic".

They would have to do this every year as much as real college teams seem to be bailing out of where they are. I wouldn't worry about changing it much - doesn't really change the game. Some teams weren't in the right conferences anyway.

People have wanted/asked about this for quite some time but the others are right... they won't do it

Maybe allowing teams from D-3 to apply to move up to D-2 and dropping terrible D-2 teams down to D-3 and same with D-2 and D-1aa and D-1 and so on you guys get the point!

This could possibly be an intersting feature.

So you want this to be more like British soccer.

No, in fact a lot of teams move up into higher Divisions see (Menlo College D-3-D-2, Boise State JC-D-1, U Mass- D-2-d1aa, western kentucky D1aa-D-1). The only reason you would move teams down is to balance divisions. Plus it would allow users to stay at schools they know and love! Also would make recruiting very interesting when teams move into new areas. Just throwing an enticing idea out there. (The chances of whatifsports doing anything are slim to none and slim just left the forum a couple hours ago lol)

BUT it would cause rivals to no longer be able to play each other, cause for gigantic talent gaps when moving divisions, an having every server with different alignments wouldn't be feasable.

Sorry, jf- someone had to be the bad guy.

I agree with every server having different alignments, the rest is all relevant to real world situations such as moving conferences and moving up usually teams that move up get their ***** kicked. Just something that would allow users who enjoy staying at one school for longer than 4 seasons to stay longer and move up with that team. (Personal jab at caesari's resume)

They should make the conferences more realistic.  The Big 10, should have the 12 current teams with Notre Dame shifting to the Big East.  The ACC should have the 12 current teams, which is what it is in the game.  The Pac 12 should have the 12 current teams.  The SEC should have the 12 teams it has now.  The Big 12, should have the 10 current teams plus Missouri and A&M.  The rest of the conferences should be adjusted as appropriate and Marquette and Depaul should disappear into actual teams in FBS (since there are 122 or whatever there are now enough for 10, 12 team conferences with a couple that can remain in FCS in the game).  It really wouldn't be that hard to do either and you just take the rosters, history, etc. of the teams that move around and give them to a new team in the conference (if it moves up or down - but keep it the same if the level is the same like Nebraska, ND, etc.)
