Can a guy with a Range of 1 and an Arm of 62-61 survive in RF? Well, I'm not too concerned about the Arm, but more about the Range. I used a guy with Range of 7 the last two years and he was decent (.979/5 minuses/635 innings) and then less than decent (.902/4 minuses/376 innings) over the two years. His arm was 58-61.
But I have
HarryDiaz coming. HIs bat is 66-84-72-62-74 after his 2nd year. Projects to 74-94-81-66-86. Makeup is only 34, but he only has a small bit to go to hit projections and several years of growth. He's a potent bat. Will mash lefties.
But I also have
WesleyWilson already in the majors. Just raked as a MLB rookie. Projects to 86-84-62-88-84. His range is 3, so I don't gain anything over Diaz defensively, really.
I could platoon those two in a year. But I usually like to have a better PC guy in a platoon situation, especially a guy who hits lefties so I can give my #1 guy the day off against them. Currently
JoeSchneider , who I have for one more year then may resign.
Having all three of those guys would be great, if I can use a guy with 1 or 3 Range in RF some.
What do you think?
